what's stopping you from just sitting there? maybe i'm suggesting anarchy but the section isn't reserved for season ticket holders like it was last year.

every student at drexel should be there...at least the ones who are stuck on campus. what else are you going to do?

This could be the one time that we get a student section like they do down at VCU, UNCW or used to at JMU. There is just nothing else to do, the city will be shutdown. It's a good team this year and there's nothing else for students to do. DAC Pack should be dominating the game tomorrow if the leaders do their jobs. Sell it sell it sell it!

BTA, if the DP shifts over there, I think I can speak for the young alum when I say we'll be happy to move to the small section next to the radio table, which is where we originally setup the "alumni section" anyway.

That would require me getting to the game ridiculously early, and I'm not sure I'm capable of that. I love the idea though.

Agreed. Tonight would be the perfect opportunity to mimic the incredible effor that the DAC Pack did before the Sam Houston State game in 2005, and knock on the door of EVERY dorm room. I doubt that I'll be able to make it, and I'm sure that most people coming from out of the city won't be there. But there's no reason why we can't get 2,000 students to show up. Just tell them that the game is on CBS or ESPN if you have to. Many of the students will believe you. It might be too late to plan this, but this would be the perfect opportunity to close the dining halls, and only serve food between 3:00 and 7:00 in the south gym.

Hm...there is a reason I have not done this before...certain alumni don't have a good rep of being, friendly (?) at times...just not nice about certain things... :] Gotta know if FOTY compare photos with me?? I also think MetSox is always capable of arriving to games early. You can always let my small group chill with yours, sharing...but it might be tough...back to first part of this ...paragraph-like thing?

I don't know if the DP can all move over there, at least to this game...
who told them that they had to move anyway?

Warpig & MetSox- I hear you on what everyone does other than coming to the games...and I really have no idea because I go to the games lol?

I would knock on doors if I were allowed in residence halls :] No way there are going to be 2000 students there. I'm not sure if we can also just close the dining halls? That sounds crazy?

The dining hall thing has been done before, but obviously with advanced planning. I think the dining hall just moved everything to the DAC and served dinner in there.

The SHSU was completely sold out on 1 day notice, and 2,000 of the 2,500 at the DAC were students. Granted that game was on ESPN2 and the winner of the game got to play Duke at MSG, but my point is that if everyone chips in and personally asks students to come to the game, they may actually show up.

Actually the NCAA did. Having a student section that close to the court violated the NCAA rule. It would be perfectly legal though to have the DAC Pack there just say 2 rows off the floor behind the alums or w/e. I didn't agree with MetSox about the backboards killing the sound until I watched the DU/UDel womens game replay on tcn. It is a real shame. I personally have never been a fan of the view from back there, but I would be all for the students either back where we were last year, behind the opposing bench or where we originally were where the alums like to sit. By the way, I hate how the league said we shouldn't have fans behind the team bench, major schools have it, so it clearly is not an ncaa rule to keep us from being there screaming during their timeouts.

Sodexho allows things like that? ARE YOU SURE? SODEXHO? lol
I remember someone else telling me about knocking on the doors, they did that my freshman year too...I think its better to do at the beginning of the season with freshmen...those were large stakes at that game too...I generally know a lot people just are not interested...

I HATE BEING BEHIND THE BASKET at ANYYYYYY event. I can't see anything because I'm short :[ I loveeeee where the DAC Pack used to be because I could see :] I have a friend that I sit in the visitor's fans section with sometimes :]]] Yeah, thats just bull that they don't want us screaming...EVERRRRRRY major school does that, its part of a sports event atmosphere...always taking the fun out of everything :[

I think I sat with a lot of people from the board at the game on Tuesday. Was there a guy who slowly took his clothes off throughout the game and was heckling Bruiser for most of it??

no. The people from the boards sit across from the visitors bench, the best spot to sit of course.

bta, yes it does suck behind the basket and the basket does kill the sound by a lot, which also sucks that we no longer have two sections one behind and one not.
