Really? I have not seen him play, but he apparently has good ratings and other schools have looked at him, so he must be ok. He might have had a rough day when you saw him.

ESPN has him at a 90, and thats pretty high http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recru...ruitId%3d95463

7 foot tall wow. Yes I know, size doesn't matter, but im sorry 7 foot is tall man.

imagin having him, Arledge and Moe in at the same time. 3 bigs

Here's the thing about 7 footers in High School (especially one who you probably played when he was a freshman or a sophomore): They're still growing into their bodies.

They're awkward, and they're playing guys who are 6'2, who are probably quicker, and more coordinated than they are at that point in their life.

People said the same stuff about Roy Hibbert, and then all of the sudden his Junior year in college,he was destroying everybody.

That's the deal with bigs. A lot of the time, one day, you just look up, and suddenly you've got an awesome player.

I don't want us to sign 7'0" stiffs.

I want us to sign more bangers like Johnny/Will/Jai/Daryl, etc. Morrison is all finesse, and is nothing more than an intimidating dunker and shot blocker.

New name I believe, Jerome Seagars

Quote:
Terry Sanford's Chris Wilson, Trinity Christian's Mike Thorne, Westover's C.J. Ford and Flora Macdonald's Jerome Seagars all have been invited to Telep's annual Carolina Challenge, which showcases the top 80 prospects in North Carolina.

Seagars, a 6-2 junior point guard, is getting recruiting interest from Connecticut, George Mason, George Washington, Tennessee and UCLA.

We need a solid PG in the 2011 class. Should be interesting to see how that pans out for us. I think it's a good sell from our staff, because DJ will be a senior and the kid will be able to compete for a chance to be a 3 year starter at the PG spot. I still see VV more of a 2G that can play a little point, so having a true PG would be very beneficial.

If you're talking about Manning, he's not a stiff.

He moves well for a 7 footer. He's not Garnett, but he's not Sam Harris, either. He'd be a good get for us.

I also think the need for a PG is reduced a little bit with Vaughns redshirting.

Although there were many class of 2013 talents on display, the names below are the kids that showed top-flight potential:

Johnathan Williams 6'8" PF (Memphis, TN)

The younger brother of George Mason rising Freshmen, Johnny Williams. "J3" can handle, pass and move well for a forward. He may have had the most upside of all the campers. Defensively, he used his mobility, length and athleticism to make some noise.

Just an FYI, ESPN is saying J3 could be one of the top 5 players of his class.

Quote:
Remember this name because over the next year you will see his stock continue to rise with a chance of being one of the top four or five players in this class. At 6-7 and left handed the best comparison for J-3 is Lamar Odom.
We can dream, can't we?

Yeah you can dream...and then you can wake up to the news that he just signed with a real basketball school from the ACC/Big East.

In all seriousness though, with a decent tourney run before his graduating year, and lots of PT and respect for Johnny Williams you will have a much better shot than most at getting him. All of that is conjecture though.

LOL!

Dropping knowledge!

John Pugh was the 3rd best post player on the team during his time at HND, after Mike Thomas and Brandon Richardson.

Pugh was tall, and that's it.

Manning is actually good.
