Fordham or Stony Brook?
There is a lot of talk on AGS about some northern sports caster or DJ stating that CAA Football is looking to replace NU with a school in the "New York area." The general consensus seems to be that Fordham is that school.
But how does that make more sense over another NY school, like Stony Brook?
- SB is established with scholarships. Fordham is trying to get scholarships.
- SB is in a geographically awkward conference. Fordham is in a conference that it apparently likes (except as of now it is non-scholly)
It seems to me that if I'm SB, the moment I heard NU dropping their program I would have given the CAA a phone call.
I've heard the opinions of those over at AGS, but what do CAA fans think is going to happen?
