We recently had Melvin Johnson out of the Bronx commit to VCU. He played at Rice before playing his senior season at St. Benedict's in Jersey last year.

Have any of you guys watched him play? I know he's supposed to be a good shooter, but I thought it would be good to hear from people who have watched him play. I figure some of you may have seen him. Thanks!

I haven't seen Johnson play myself, but he's been one of the top guards in NYC/NJ since his days at Rice HS.

You guys have some studs getting eligible this year and now that we aren't in the league anymore, it would be great to see a northern team win it. Between Drexel, Delaware, and Hofstra, the northern squads have some really good talent that could win it all.
