    Exclamation Video Links

Replacing the former thread we had, I figured we could use a new thread that everyone can post video links that they find. This way they're all in one place.

Damn, if you take out Tulane's highlights, we actually won that game handily.

I do have to echo some of the comments here about the limited minutes Morrison and Pearson played Saturday. We really did have a size and talent advantage in the paint (as seen here many times), but we didn't exploit it as much as we could have. Hopefully, we learn from that since we once again will have a size advantage against GW even without Pearson.

I wonder why a video hasn't been posted from the Villanova game... Anyone got any info in that regard?

Because I don't have any old videos of the players from back in the day. I think I saw an NCAA tournament game at the patriot center from way back in the 80's on youtube one time, not the patriots of course, it was NC state and someone else I think, not sure exactly.

Anyway, any vintage 80's patriot games would be cool to see

Great to see a clip of the '89 IU game. I was soooo drunk, I don't remember much of the game. What I do remember is that the game was being shown on channel 56; one of the PBS stations in this area. They were doing fundraising during commercial time outs and one of the "friends" made a $200 pledge in my name during the game. I kept getting calls and mail from them wondering why I didn't send them their money. Ahh college days... What fun we had!

It couldn't have been an NCAA tournament game--never has been one at the Patriot Center and never will be (too small an arena). However there was a time (or maybe 2) when Mason "hosted" first round games at the Cap Center (and maybe later at the then MCI Center). For those games they imported the floor from the Patriot Center.

I think for the Cap Center games Bobby Knight (at Indiana) and Dean Smith (UNC) were 2 of the coaches in that first weekend of the tournament. I'm also thinking Ohio Univ and Drexel (pre-Colonial) were there and also Liberty (won their conference and were seeded #16 against UNC---I hope I don't find out that my memory is making all of this up!

I remember getting goose bumps when Indiana took the court with their band blaring and their cheerleaders waving an IU flag that I swear was as big as their whole state! I thought to myself then that it's inconceivable that Mason would ever get to that point where we would have that capability (both from an athletic perspective and a band perspective). And now look at us--Final Four banner and all!!!
