I saw Raleigh and East Rutherford, NJ? Anyone have further insight. I want to start planning now to see the game.

Plan all you want, no one will know until Sunday. You then have 4-5 days to get wherever it is.

I hope you guys can get tixs to see VCU play. Remember VCU will ONLY get 250 tixs to the opening round of games. Thats all any school gets for the opening round. Most of the sites are sold out in advance. Do the CAA proud and have a great tourny and win a couple while you're at it.

Those 250 tickets go to big contributors on the alumni fund... you're better off finding a good sports bar rather than expect to get one of those 250 tickets.

The VCU website has the breakdown for you alumni donor people, and I just spoke with the athletic department and was told there will be a lottery for the limited student tickets! I know there just trying to make there money but you figure there should be way to get the schools more tickets, I mean if these sites are sold out already then you would think those same people would buy tickets at a later date as well as an early date!

I was told that there are 350 available in the prime section, and another 150 available in other sections. Plus, not all schools use all of their allocation (remember there are 8 teams at each site) and if they are turned back in the other schools get the first shot at those.

There are always tickets available on the street at the sites. Prices vary, but I've seen tickets sold by scalpers at less than face value (Indy, 1996 is a good example). I've been to lots of NCAA events, sub-regionals, regionals, and Final Fours, and only had one time when I could not find a ticket at a reasonable price. That was Charlotte for the Final Four, and that was the last time the NCAA used a building that held less than 40K.

Tickets are not really the problem. Getting there is a different story. I've been checking air fares. Without 7 days advance purchase you really get burned. My plans are to drive to any site other than Kansas City, Denver, or Seattle. Just make a week of it and consider it a spring vacation.

yeah that's what i'm trying to do to. luckily it's on spring break i just hope i as a student can find a ticket.
