38? 40? 46?

What's our RPI? It could be important come Sunday.

According to the NCAA and KenPom its 46.

According to Jerry Palm its 40. ESPNInsider also has been using 40.

According to Realtime RPI its 38.

I guess the discrepancy is over how our game versus VCU was classified. The NCAA and KenPom say its neutral. Jerry Palm says its away. I don't know how important the RPI is, but the difference between 38 and 46 could mean the difference between IN and OUT.

Unfortunately, the official NCAA RPI has us at 46.

I dont think that a few spots in the RPI will matter all that much...

At this point - IMO - Drexel is IN barring a few teams coming out of nowhere to steal bids in conference tournys.. we are right on the bubble.. if there are no upsets - we are in..

It is out of our hands right now.. last night was a great night for us and hopefully things will stay nice and upset free!!!

Yea I can honestly say I have no clue what is going on with the RPI. All season I have said the Kenpom RPI is the most accurate though (tho I put Palm's right there with it) so I'll go by that I guess. I'm very confused to say the least. In the end, I agree with DJ, I don't really think it matters so much.

Yeah I guess it doesn't matter but I'd feel more confident if our RPI was 40 rather than 46. Last year KenPom had the tournament games as HOME games for VCU. This year, and every other year expect for last, he has them as NEUTRAL.

The NCAA has been known to make mistakes and correct home/neutral/away issues before.

Jerry Palm is usually just as reliable, if not more, than KenPom.

Who knows. I guess we just need the bubble teams to keep losing!

I've sent emails to realtimeRPI before and they corrected the St Joes game in 24 hours... someone send emails out to the other RPI sites if they are wrong... last thing we need is someone to make a decision on a website that isn't correct.

Per Palm's site today, the NCAA has the VCU games as neutral this year and home/away last year. He's contacted them about the discrepancy. Given the narrow RPI percentages between us and ODU, if the change is made, it is probably enough for the positions to be reversed (at least as of current calculations).

5 and 5, Drexel's OOC RPI and OOC SOS. If the NCAA selection commitee stays true to their word that they reward teams that have success in the OOC, I don't know how they can leave you guys out.
