Well we ended the game in horrible fashion after playing most of the game pretty well. But the finish is what counts and we won. Drexel is always tough and it ended like most VCU DU games end. Really nice to see Nick come up big as well as BA. Dixon had a couple of nice baskets for us too. I think this has been a hard week for us. We will have time to settle down before the JMU game. Hopefully that will be a good lead in to the ODU game.

VCu played well tonight except for the final 3:59 seconds. the final second is what got us the win.

Anyone listen to the post game press conference. Bruiser mention reading Packetts column on tonights game, which I'm sure Packett is gleeful about. but bruiser said, [after reading your column about how poor of a team they were] in regards to the GMu game. Glad Packett is on our side, whew :roll:

We need this rest. I think practice Mon-Wed will be helpful.

It was a 2 pointer.

I read the story this morning. F Packett. He's a UR guy. He's hopin' Capel leaves.

We didn't play very smart after we got it to 60-50. Missed a lot of foul shots, didn't box out and allowed alot of offensive rebounds. Drexel misses two FTs and what do we do? Give up the rebound.

Nevertheless, we played well most of the game, played good defense and pulled out the win.

Capel mentioned in the post game that he is really looking forward to getting back to practice on Monday....with all the traveling they haven't had much time to work on certain areas of the game.

With three days of practice we should be ready for JMU on Thursday!
