Brian Polk to transfer to DSU. Polk was one of Temple's leading scorers but was in John Chaney's doghouse a lot. Whatever the reason; DSU will be interesting to watch next year. News-Journal scooped again.

Not next year dovetail, he must sit out a year so his ONLY year of playing for DSU will be the 2004/2005 season.

Man, I know sometimes athletes want to play close to home, but DSU? Is that really worth sitting out a year. First, I can't imagine that DSU will give him a top notch education, nor will it improve his chances in the NBA. All in all, even if Polk does bring some attention to the Hornets' BBall team, I don't think that is going to help them get an inside track on home-grown talent.

The answer is simple......"GRADES". His academic stranding at Temple was pretty bad. that's why he applied for the NBA draft. Polk probably doesn't have many options at this point. I'd say it's not a lock that he ever plays at DSU. But I'm wishing this kid well.

    Default The Polka Dance

As a graduate of Seaford High I saw polk play a few times. Im my opinion he doesn't have the game needed to play in the NBA. The Hornets had Aaron Mathews (former starter at Nova) playing for them last year, and it didn't help. The supporting cast just isn't there. One guy can't do it all by himself.
