Too bad about Dosh. He would have made a nice addition to JMU and our league. I'm bummed for the Dukes.

Regarding my fellow fan's comments about Keith Burnell: yeah, sure, any team wouldn't have liked to have had a player providing it with an additional 988 yards total offense. KB may not have been the second coming of Adrian Peterson, but he was a nice player to have for a year. Despite what some folks might imply, UD was very lucky to have had him.

Henfan, you are correct, Burnell wasn't a bust, since he did produce almost 1,000 yrds, but he was FAR from the outstanding RB most UD fans had expected. The running skills we had expected just weren't there. Maybe you don't think it's fair, but I'm sure that most Hen fans consider KB to be a disappointment.

Hardcore - you hit the nail on the head...

    >>>but he was FAR from the outstanding RB most UD fans had expected<<<

988 yards for a running back is far from a bad year, but the expectations were that he was going to come in and have a senior season similar to what Curtis Keaton or Brian Westbrook had. That didnt happen...

I think the knock on Burnell was not that he wasn't a great football player - he just wasnt a great running back. He had incredible speed but he just wasnt an RB. Tech saw that and wanted him to play d-back. Apparently the Packers (thats who picked him up, right?) see much the same thing.

Too bad about Dosh. We could really use some depth at linebacker.

Dosh looks like he is really making waves...

Starred in JV contest three days later, keying a Pirates' defensive effort with a team-high nine tackles and a sack during ECU's 19-7 win over Hargraves Military Academy at Dowdy-Ficklin Stadium ... Totaled three total tackles (two solo) and recovered a fumble during play on defensive unit
