ODU is, in fact, recruiting against VT and UVA. The head football coach, and his assistants, make the decision on who to recruit.

I agree. Going against VT and UVA seems to be setting the bar kind of low. After Logan Thomas leaves this year, Tech's offense will be atrocious. ODU's vastly superior offensive scheme should give us a significant advantage in the recruiting battle against the two underachieving ACC schools in the state.

And who is Hodges (who's never taken a collegiate snap) going to throw to? I follow VT as much or more than ODU because my brother, aunt, and uncle went there and my whole family roots for them. They lost their entire starting WR core last year. This year they have competent replacements in Coles and Davis, but both of those guys will be gone after this year. There isn't a single RB on the team that would measure up to any of the starters at that spot in the last ten years. Their offensive line will be terrible (what's new there). If the defense doesn't hold every team to 10 points or less, they could have a 4-5 loss season in a pretty weak ACC unless Logan Thomas breaks ACC passing records this year.

If I'm an offensive player coming out of high school, I'd take a long, hard look at what ODU's offensive system is able to produce. That said, if you're a defensive player, you don't think twice about picking VT over ODU or anyone else in the state.

That's most likely the issue, actually. Why a Va. Tech fan would want to stir crap up on a 1-AA message board screams of some pathetic loser sitting in his parent's basement. I am sure he has a very firm grip on himself, but doubt that he gets many offers from beyond the reach of his own arms.

And for the record....Tech sucks. And we will again witness another overrated Tech squad find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in any game that actually means something.
