    Default JMU 2012 Defensive Backs

Just realized that the possibility exists we could have two 3 star and one 4 star Rivals guys in our defensive backfield this year. Titus Till was a 4 as a safety. Peter Rose was a 3 star ( though I'm thinking that was not a position specific rating) and Jeremiah Wilson was a 3 star at CB.

That's a lot of athletic ability available to us. We've always been tough on the run. Being pass stingy would make the defense that much more nasty. Not to mention that we've also got returning starters at safety in Dean Marlowe and Jakarie Jackson. Add in CB Leavander Jones who started 4 games each in '10 &'11 and safety Ryan Smith who also got a lot of playing time and that's some quality depth, especially if we only go w/ 4 DBs this year.

Yep, ever since the 2 Maryland transfers were announced, I've been waiting for Mickey to lean back towards the 4-2-5 alignment. He is probably waiting to see them in fall practice as a unit and then he will do what he always does - get the best 11 defensive players on the field.
One thing is for certain, it is impossible to have too many good players.
    The best ability is dependability.

    Outstanding job by Mickey.

Let us not take what he has accomplished for granted.
