Now Zable stadium will be upgraded.
Walt Zable loved William & Mary and never failed to mention whenever he spoke that he owed his success to his professors at the College and to his days on the football field. Whenever he was at a Tribe function he was just one of the guys and never let his amazing success change his relationships with people.
Zable Stadium is a tribute to him.
I had always wondered who the 'Zable' was behind the stadium. What an interesting, productive, and memorable life. They really don't make them anymore like they used to, and I include myself in that criticism. His legacy will hopefully live on forever with Tribe football.

Interesting that Zable majored in Physics while at W&M - he was an authentic student/scholar/athlete.
