True. Our campus now is very urban without enough green space. We have much less open/green space than UMBC/Maryland.
If we add a new swim center and indoor practice facility, we will have very few open area's anymore.

If we ever get 15,000-20,000 to attend Towson football games, I'm not sure if we have enough room for tailgating unless we gain access to St. Joe's/GBMC'S/ Sheppard Pratt's flat surface lots.

The above is why I prefer Towson establishing a School of Health or Graduate campus in downtown Towson. University of Maryland has professional schools in downtown Baltimore.

With all these athletic department improvements, clearly one thing needs to get done first. More beds.

Do not lose sleep over it. The beds will be added also.

Why not put some upperclassmen housing in the property acquired in downtown Towson? It would give the campus a pretty cool, albeit smaller, metropolitan feel like a student would get living in the dorms throughout NYC while studying at NYU or Fordham.

Matt, are these new construction plans going to halt the design and assembly on the new football jerseys?

The county executives in Towson favor the University adding academic/administrative services in downtown Towson but not campus housing for students. The School of Health was suppose to move to downtown Towson but the deal fell through with the owner of the property.

Venue upgrades will also depend on the compliance of the dept with Title IX and future financing/budgets..so some sports in the future may be seeing the metaphorical axe.

What other mens sports can they cut? Mens swimming gets like 2 scholarships split between the group. No mens gymnastics, wrestling, T&F, CC or Tennis. All there is beyond the 3 bigs (lax, FB and MBB) are baseball, golf, soccer and swimming & diving.

A question pertaining to ticket sales and title 9. Is it only school funding that title 9 applies to or do ticket sales and ads bought have title 9 applied to them?
