    This may be satisfactory or close in football, but it does not address hoops well at all. Even if CoC and DC become new CAA members hoops will not be on as solid ground as with ODU and VCU, but it would be much closer. Charleston and Davidson are MUST-HAVE pickups for CAA basketball.

    I wasn't addressing hoops. I was addressing a Maine fan's "concerns" about Elon and Furman, and how Elon and Furman are a plus for CAA football, are just as good as some AE schools in all sports, and by inference, how the CAA all sports conference is better than the AE and SoCon.

    No argument from me as to the value of CofC and Davidson in hoops.

    That's why I think CAA will end up with 14 or 16 schools.
