This is an area that our athletic dept. has been weak at. I believe we will benefit greatly from this move.

"Under terms of the agreement, IMG College provides consulting services and sales representation for the Seahawks. Jerry Reckerd, Assistant Vice-President of Mid-Atlantic Regional Properties, will counsel Seahawk sports marketing staffers on best practices and proper selling techniques as well as provide the tools necessary to maintain a successful multimedia rights program.

"We're excited to sign an athletics sponsorship consulting agreement with UNCW," said Ben C. Sutton, Jr., President, IMG College. "We look forward to the new initiatives we can help the UNCW team develop in order to expand the reach of Seahawk sports to the 173 million college sports fans across the nation."

Headquartered in Winston Salem, N.C., IMG College employs 700 people in nearly 100 offices throughout the U.S., with annual sales of nearly $450 million. IMG College is the leader in capturing consumer devotion to college sports through partnership opportunities in multimedia rights, licensing, events and hospitality, marketing, stadium and arena development, stadium seating solutions, ticketing, sales, and consulting. IMG College produces nearly 30,000 hours of radio programming on the largest sports network in the country, manages nearly 5,000 hours of local television programming, is the leading publisher of college sports publications, and is the largest manager of university athletic websites. IMG College is a division of IMG Worldwide, a global sports, fashion and media business."

IMG was founded by a W&M grad, Mark McCormack. He was a golfer and his first client was Palmer who he competed against while in college.
