Anybody who does not want the Palestra is officially not a college basketball fan and out of my (substantial) will.

they have abig problem with the tourney in AC. Nobody goes.

and they're moving it to Brooklyn, that ought to really help attendance #'s...

Only thing I want at the palestra is for them to have cushion back seats. Those bleachers are hard and I dont mind bringing a cushion for football games but I think an indoor venue with multiple game the seats should be comfortable.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most!

Whether there were issues or not it sends the wrong message to have your conference tournament in a dump like that. Not the kind of image we should seek.

What would you think of Furman as an addition to the CAA? They're starting up men's lacrosse in 2014 with former Navy coach Richie Meade at the helm and are shopping for a conference:

ECAC holds their hockey championship in Atlantic City. That's with Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Princeton, Dartmouth. Good enough for the Ivy schools....

This just keeps getting better and better! This is a PERFECT STORM for HU to get back on the map in a big way - it's all shaping up superbly, and HU is finally in a great position

HU has quality horses in the stable, less traditional powers to fight in the tourney, a strong shot to win it all, and the once all VA all the time conf is moving NORTH!!! Stuff HU dreams are made of!

that's why i crack up at trolling trouble-makers who come on here to spew junk and jedi mind trick some of you into drinking the haterade - this has been one of the more positive spring/summers for HU in recent memory, so let's GROW A PAIR and be PROUD

I don't give a rip about SBU - would be happy to see them join as I've mentioned, but my life (and HU's) would not change ONE IOTA if they don't - who cares, I want HU to succeed, PERIOD.

Oh I know, I know, HU is imploding, every sport is being cut, the prez is an alien, HU's tulips will never bloom again, and SBU is the SEC, ACC, Big East, Pac10, Big whatever all rolled up into one.

Get to bingo... stop joining these pea-brain parties - tell the tools to take a hike - HU is on the grow, athletically and academically, momentum is on THIS side now - stand up, unite, and ENJOY!! This is a HOFSTRA board, we are HOFSTRA fans, so G O H O F S T R A

Remember, in the end Luke's side wins. : D

I would love it. Furman is a great school both athletically and academically. Would also be great to have another private school in the conference.

Jack, agree with you again here, the Palestra is a historic venue, and less than a 3 hr drive!! the seats stink but would take that in a HEARTBEAT over Richmond - would rather have more people sore from sitting than less people comfortable!!

but either way, this is another plus for HU - all shaping up nicely...
