Default OT- ODU and GSU ineligible

So now ODU and GSU will not play in the CAA tourney this year. After this year it also looks like the tourney will move from Richmond to either the Palestra in Philly or Baltimores inner harbor. I guess Yaeger was told he didnt need a passport to leave Richmond.

Problem with AC is gambling and students dont mix. That would be an accident waiting to happen.

Philly would be great for the CAA Tournament, especially in a year when UNCW is not eligible. If Drexel had more fans, I would be concerned about home court bias, but they don't sell out the DAC half the time.

Still if the palestra becomes home of the CAA tourney and Drexel has good to great teams I can see the "homecourt advantage" coming into play again. I would like to see a rotating venue of Philly,Baltimore, NY , Boston and North carolina in the future.

It will be 7 plus if any new teams are added that can play right away.

The A-10 has it's tourney in AC with no problems. I don't think the casinos being there are a big deal at all. There are bowl games in Vegas (and for all I know they hold the MBB conference tourney there or in the past) so I don't think it's a big deal at all.

That is good news for Hofstra with ODU and GSU being ineligible for postseason play but I do feel bad fore the athletes themselves who had no say in the decision to leave and have to suffer the consequences. I agree with Stuball that Atlantic City would be a terrible place for the CAA Tourney. Place is a dump and we should not expose our college students to that type of gambling-run environment. I think Baltimore would be the best centrally located place for it in the future.
