OT: Soccer recruiting

I was reading the "All-Met" section of the Sunday Post today and noticed of the 10 seniors listed on the first team, 5 are headed to Mason! That includes Ryan Harmouche, the Player of the Year.

I don't follow soccer recruiting that closely, but that seems like an extraordinary percentage of local talent.

Let's just hope none of these guys wind up picking up professional contracts like Conor Shanosky did a couple of years ago.

Looking at DC United's youth academy Ahmed Ismail played 22 games for their U18 academy team, but at 5'5 115 pounds, I don't think he's much of a danger to get a professional contract just yet.
