Worst: William & Mary -- Towson has been historically bad lately, but its sparkling new arena was enough to keep it out of the CAA jobs cellar.

Average attendance for Hurricanes games during the 2010-11 season: 3,936 (capacity at BankUnited Center: 8,000). And if you’ve ever attended a non-FSU-Miami game, it feels like less. The program's six NCAA tournament bids are the fewest in the league. The school, a traditional power in football, has never found an identity in basketball, proof that the tropical air doesn’t guarantee an attractive position.

It really is remarkable the job Tony Shaver has done, if you think about it objectively. Guy is a dynamite coach IMO.

I agree that Shaver has done a good job at W & M. The article wasn't denigrating Shaver; just pointing out that the W&M job isn't a particularly attractive gig.

I'm curious what the rankings would have been if this was done in the summer of 2006, the summer of 2010 and the summer of 2011.

We should send a delegation to Xavier to see what they are doing and get some helpful tips on how they continue to be the model program for the conference a lot of people on here wanted to move to.
