2011 and 2012 CAA Football Champions
If Polk comes back, it seems we have a good backcourt with Walden/Hairston at point and Polk/Burrell at shooting guard. If Polk, is not back, it seems we are thin again at shooting guard with backups.
Is Walden a CAA level starter or role/7th/8th man player? I know he had a real learning experience this past season.
I plan to attend some games this season. It was too painful last year.
Too bad Pressley is leaving, I liked his energy and hustle. It sounds like Alston will be more polished than Pressley was in his freshman year so he'll be an upgrade in talent. Hopefully we can get another big who can redshirt this year and learn from Dixon, Bennimon and the coaching staff. Sucks that Mason may have to go prep - it reminds me of the Amayo situation where he was highly touted recruit but ended up going to Marshall instead.
Walden can back up both spots. He's more of a combo than a pure point. Guthrie was also brought in to play the 2 though he's not a pure shooter. Sounds like a band-aid for the next 2 years and can really defend and rebound for 6-3. Marquis Marshall can play the 2 and 3.

Jon Rothstein of CBS New York has Benimon as one of 10 Underrated Transfers For 2012-13. Coombs-McDaniel from Hofstra is on there as well.

Hopefully there is at least some improvement on the court this season and build some excitement for 2013.
