    What are people's thoughts on the CAA adding NJIT?

    The CAA has no presence in the state of New Jersey leaving a gap between Drexel (Philadelphia) and Hofstra (Long Island). NJIT is a public school located in downtown Newark (NJ's largest city). The school is located just blocks from the Prudential Center (home of the NJ Devils) and has played occasional games there. The Highlanders currently pay in the Great West where it is very much out of geographic place.

    No. Too new to division I athletics, and probably doesn't have enough of an alumni base that cares enough to help TV ratings, and tournament attendance.

    If the CAA needs to have a team in NJ, I'd much rather have Rider. Rider is out of place in the MAAC as the only non-catholic school.
    For every Shaka Smart, there are ten Monte Ross's.

    Isn't the current NJIT arena similar to the area on the 4th floor of the Main Building?

    EDIT: It looks like they underwent renovations a few years ago to bring them to a 1500 seating capacity.
    Delaware sucks!!

    your = possessive
    you're = you are

    their = possessive
    there = location
    they're = they are

    lose = a lack of winning
    loose = opposite of tight

    Third rate program and no one wants to go to Newark,,, other than Hustle. I am fine with 9 teams until we find someone decent.
    Phila. Titles: Phillies 1980, 2008; Athletics 1910,1911,1913,1929,1930; Eagles 1948,1949,1960; Flyers 1974,1975; Sixers 1967,1983; Warriors 1956

    Why do you keep offering this as a choice? Is this some kind of joke? Their RPI since moving up has been 331, 341, 343, 341, 315, and 303. They have no fans and no presence. They bring absolutely nothing.

    NJIT only sold a little over $5K in tickets for all their sporting events last year. For reference ODU was $3mil.
