I'll take the overplayed chants that get our always full student section rocking over the pathetic student support at ODU any day.
We're still waiting for this board to be shut down. It's been 5 days now.

maybe they meant July 1st
which would actually be correct
With so much conference realignment, I think we need to create an archive section for schools that leave the CAA. Lock everything down, but we really should preserve the history. The schools that leave are part of the CAA and the schools that remain's histories. We shouldn't just wipe away the CAAZone history because there's no way to wipe away the corresponding CAA history. The smack talk may lose a lot of relevance, but there's a lot more that warrants preservation.
That said, I do see that this board is now called "Samnang's VCU Board," so maybe I've already got my wish with Samnang as the curator!
Duh, Winning!
Okay......lets have volunteers to cover former members Richmond, Navy, American, East Carolina....did I miss anyone?....I for one understand their departure,, given Ga. States geographic separation from the other members and "The University of the Norfolk Ghetto's" desire to greater emphasize their football program ("Golly gee Wally, our school is ugly and in the middle of the Norfolk Ghetto, but we've got a ready made first rate I-AA stadium , ....I've got an idea!!!!!!.... why don't we form a football team?")....but I predict that VCU will not fare well....once they lose their young coach (The further you get from the Final Four, the less "shiny" that accomplishment becomes...see George Mason)...once you leave your home state and matural rivals the quicker the public will forget you...I can see VCU failing miserably. Only time will tell.

How is that any different than what we hear from everyone in the CAA? We're always the coach leaving away from irrelevancy. News flash, so is everyone else. We could be irrelevant in a CAA without ODU and with a bunch of football schools, or irrelevant in the A10 with a lot of better basketball programs and a higher profile. That's not a tough decision.
Yeah, still open, and VCU is still listed as a "member team"......lets not waste the bandwidth....this is hard for some to understand...but what is the use....ask yourself, do we still see East Carolina, Richmond or Naval Academy postings...why not its the same principle at work....I'd just say Bon Voyage, and "don't let the door knob hit you on the way out". Shut down all VCU postings now, even that "unofficial one" right now. They paid their exit fee, now leave us alone.

I assume the only reason this is still open is that VCU is a member of the CAA until July 1st.
