Default JMU's Athletic Director's Public Statement

official letter to JMU fans, I wish GMU can do the same:

    Dear JMU Friend:

Many of you have been following the news reports and other public discussions about some CAA member institutions that have confirmed their decision or are potentially transitioning to other conferences. This ongoing discussion about conference alignment is very important to the CAA, its members and JMU. We recognize that many of you are interested in what this means to JMU, our athletic programs, our student athletes and our fans. Please let me reassure all of you that JMU takes this issue of conference alignment very seriously and is working closely with all of those involved. We are committed to making the best decisions possible for our great university.

As you can imagine, issues like this are fluid, complicated and takes some time to resolve. We will do our best to communicate to our fans at the appropriate time regarding the solution to these issues.

    All the best,

    Jeffrey T. Bourne
    Director of Athletics

If I had to make an uneducated guess ... if the "****" is really going to hit the fan ...

GMU and VCU have a basketball-first agenda. You guys will go to the A-10 ... it will be a good fit. ODU and JMU have been moving more toward football (ODU still good in BBall, JMU, well, yeah) ... ODU could go to C-USA ... while I think JMU will either join them down there or move with App State to the MAC. JMU and ODU have made their beds with football, VCU and Mason in basketball. It is what it is, but I have a feeling whatever happens, JMU and ODU will not be in the same conference as Mason/VCU.

If he's got time to write this, then he's just waiting for someone else to tell him what's gonna happen.

Angel is too busy playing in the Wells Fargo event this week tuning up for The Players....Oops. Maybe it could be done.

Angel does not come on board until July. Please.....The JMU statement came out because they appear to have been caught flatfooted. The AD and Admin at Mason are actively working through an analysis on an offer from the A-10. Aside from that - nothing more to report in an email.
America in distress - targeted, harrassed, and persecuted by an out of control Administration.
Resist, refuse, and defeat the power of Tyranny. Bring the USA back from its great mistake.

If Charlotte stays in the A10 for now with a startup FCS program, the A10 doesn't need Mason or VCU.
