There you go. As I said I would, I apologize to bluehenpat. Apparently Mason hadn't qualified academically. I just hadn't, until now, seen any official word that academics played a part. So... I will honor my word.
Now back to more important matters like Tribe recruiting.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Tribe target Anders Broman can flat out shoot. At the Nike Peach Jam, the premier AAU tournament of the year, he is:
    4th in 3pt percentage @ 55.6%
    1st in 3 pointers made @ 15 and
    2nd in attempts for tourney @ 27

15 for 27 is pretty impressive over a 4 game span against the best of high school players. Defense isn't necessarily at a premium in these tourneys, but regardless, he's quite the sniper. Now we just need to hope more schools don't get in the mix. Fat chance of that.

Videos show very weak competition, not much 3-point depth, and he doesn't appear to very athletic.
He's not quick...couldn't even finds an ESPN rating for him.

He is a shooter but can he get open and play defense against Division I CAA athletes?

Hope we have stronger guys on our list.

Our still wide-open four-scholarship list where we're still oh for whatever!

All I'm saying is disregard his gawdy high school numbers if you want based on competition. Look at his AAU numbers against some of best high school competition nationwide, many of which are HM recruits. Regardless of environment he shoots a high percentage and gets his points.
He's not big enough & not quick enough. Not that he's at all the same thing, but I'm sure similar things were said about Steph Curry coming out of hs.
Many in the recruiting circles believe before all is said he may go high major. That's good enough for me and should be good enough for the caa.

I'm convinced...did not note his successful AAU performances. Perhaps Schalk can help convince him to attend W&M.

I'm not worried at this point. It doesn't seem like many of our targets have verballed elsewhere, so we may still be in there.

The July evaluation period is the biggest of the year and many recruits who want to decide early wait till after this period to compare all of their offers. We should know a lot more in the next month or two for better or worse.

Just got our 1st 2013 commit.

6'3 PG Mike Schlotman out of Indiana.

Listed as a true point that is pass first but can reluctantly score when needed.
