As a fan of both ODU and NC State I'm torn on the Painter move. If CJ Leslie decides to go into the draft Painter would have been huge for State next year, he played very well in his bench role this past year. He would be a great pick up for ODU. I hate to see him leave State but if they lose him to anybody might as well be ODU

He also started early last year when Leslie was injured and put up double-double numbers as a starter.

Very true. Leslie also had some issues early in the season with rule violations where Painter steped in. Painter would be the starter if he didn't transfer and Leslie declared.
