Nice addition. His dad posted on Monarch Nation just the other day.

    ... wat?

Anyways, I saw his dad posting on Monarch Nation, sounds like he's a great kid and I'm glad to have him on the team, he looks like he could tackle a train...

He's a little too big to be any good at foosball isn't he? Gotta have quick hands.

    From Rexroad's dad:

"There will be D1A offensive lineman on an official visit to ODU this coming weekend. He is transferring and wants to play for ODU. He redshirted last season and doesn't want to sit out another season transferring to a D1A school. He sustained a grade 1 MCL sprain the 2nd week of August so his coach decided to redshirt him and let his mcl heal fully. There was NO tear and he was slated to start at right guard and was to be the backup left tackle.

He is 6'4.5", 295lbs. He runs a 4.98 40yd with a 1.78 10yd split, 4.77 20yd pro shuttle, 32" vertical, 9'4" broad jump and his bench max is 505lbs (last time he was tested he did 34 reps with 225lbs). Oh, he is just 19 years old and has 4 years to play. He has done a lot of research on D1AA programs and it is between ODU and Appalachian State at this point. He has a nasty streak to him. Pass block or run block it doesn't matter he loves both. While redshirting last season he ran at guard and tackle. His coach said he is the 1st o-lineman he has personally seen split 3 opposing players helmets in practice in 1 season and this coach has been around the game for 40 years. He earned scout team player of the week 8 weeks and scout team player of the year.

The reasons he is transferring are 1) there were multiple coaches leave the program at the end of last season including the oline coach he wanted to play for 2) There were some things going with the team behind the scenes that he didn't want to be a part of (he said he's worked to hard to get where he is to let negative stuff interfer with his goals) 3) He is very close to his grandmother and he learned 7 weeks ago that she has colon-rectal cancer and he wants to be closer to his grandparents so he has a better opportunity to see her. ODU is only 5.5 hours from his grandparents and where he's at now is 10.5 hours away.

He is excited to take this visit and looks forward to getting on campus in June to start workouts with the team and get a comfort level with his teammates. He also wants to learn about the Norfolk area.

His name is Jason Rexroad and I'll be with him on this visit, I'm his dad, Brian. We look forward to meeting ODU fans and parents and becoming part of the Monarch Nation!"

34 reps would have tied for 12th at this years combine. Not bad for a 19 y/o.
