Plus we have been given what, 3 extra weeks of practice and have given Key and Ross a ton of minutes which has made a lot of us at least feel a little better about next year. Def. worth it to me.

"And the benefit of extra playing time for Ross, Key, Batten, etc"...............you mean the extra playing time they should have gotten throughout the regular season instead of wasting it on DeLancey and Trian!
It's actually not irrelevant. It's still a very valid point. I'd have rather lived with Key's freshman mistakes nearly the entire season than Delancey's senior mistakes. It still makes zero damn sense that Taylor refused to play Key when it should be clear to anyone he brings more to the table than Marquel.
Rip em up, tear em up, give em hell blue!!!!
I'll tell you exactly what would have happened if Key had gotten MD's minutes before he was ready. All of our idiot "fans" who have been tearing MD apart on the internet and at games would have done the exact same thing to Key. By the end of the season Key would be doubting every decision he made on the court. These same idiots would be saying he regressed.
BT was smart enough to put MD in the position to handle the criticism. MD is older, more mature, and more suited to handle the inevitable harsh criticism put on every PG that puts on the ODU jersey.
If I don't respond, it's because you're on 'Ignore.'
Key has improved with minutes, its pretty apparent. He still gets a bit jumpy with pressure. I also think he needs to get lower and protect the ball while handling a bit more. You can tell he's not used to D1 pressure from good defenders. He dribbles at the defender too upright and in front of him... begging for someone with quick hands to slap it away.
He def is a rebound hawk though. Came up with some great ones.
