Now Hofstra has 2 chances to get into the A-10.
Agreed Bob . There are other more viable candidates than Hofstra at this point.

The other consideration, as I said before, is that there is absolutely no reason the A-10 needs 14 teams. It would make a hell of a lot more sense to have 12 (let alone the 10 in the name of the league). It's not like that conference needs to sell out as the Big East does to remain BCS eligible.
I'm going to change the topic a little here, what if Mason and VCU go A-10, and lets say Ga St. and ODU go to the Sun Belt for football purposes.
Does that make the CAA more viable for Hofstra?
Maybe. Depends on who gets added.
If going to the Ivy League is Rabinowotzs wet dream then VCU leaving the CAA is Yaegers worse nightmare. Its not going to happen. First off VCU does not want to give up playing the touney in Richmond. Second within ten years the CAA will be in the Bowl game sponsered by Virginia 529. That will be Yaegers legacy. VCU and Mason should be starting up their football programs in the next few years.

My question is if Hayes says you should constantly evaluate your conference affiliation then why the hell are we still in the CAA after eleven years and years after dropping football - the reason we went to the conference in the first place? The guy is an idiot.
