That is definitely one of the better barometers.

It's just a guess, but I think it means the verbal just came through third parties rather than him getting on twitter or something and making some formal announcement. Sounds kind of funny, though.

I believe it means that the recruit has verbally accepted an offer from one school, but is still hoping for offer(s) from other school(s).

That makes sense. It could be due to his indecision on whether to go the prep school route for a year or not.

"Soft verbals" are more for football recruiting. It means they are committed to a school but are still looking at other universities.

Patrick will be playing in this league.....should be fun to watch all of the talent!

    Kenner League Update: Dates Revealed
For those who don't know what it is all about, Kenner League is the summer league organized by Nike that takes place every year in historic McDonough Gymnasium on the campus of Georgetown University. Georgetown players as well as players from local schools George Mason, George Washington, Maryland, and Morgan State all participate in this league that features round robin play followed by a playoffs. Local players from colleges around the country participate as well as a number of NBA and former NBA players. Most importantly, the Games are free and open to the public!

The Kenner League will run from July 6th to August 12th. The Schedule has not been fully set, but the first games will be on Friday, July 6th and the Championship game for Kenner will take place on Sunday, August 12th.

If you are in or around DC during Kenner, stopping in to watch a game or two is a must. The schedule is sometimes (usually) unreliable, the games rarely start on time, the seats are uncomfortable and the hot dogs are questionable, but you will get to witness fun, exciting, and competitive basketball. The talent level at the Kenner League surpasses that of any other College/ ProAm summer league in the country. We here at THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON will have recaps of all the Kenner League action and we will update you with the schedule and rosters as soon as they become available.

    Jon Rothstein‏@JonRothstein

Keep an eye on George Mason freshman guard Patrick Holloway. Sneaky good scorer. Think a poor man's Stephen Curry.
