GSU in the CIT

Give Mercer credit...they will play Utah State for the CIT championship. And their run included beating ODU at ODU 79-73.

But Hunter is still in the doghouse. Losing to Mercer is almost as unforgivable as losing to Georgia Southern.

Got to give Mercer credit they are hitting 3s big time and have good size in the front court. On both these counts they were up on us. Our players had no sense of rivalry since there was no institutional memory of it.

And Mercer wins the CIT beating Utah State 70-67. Mercer had to win 3 road games. Maybe Mercer didn't need to pay for home court to knock off GSU. Like GSU, Utah State fell behind in the first half 31-22. And to think Mercer is not the best of the Atlantic Sun. But Belmont is leaving for the Ohio Valley. Wonder if Mercer will have difficulty holding on to their coach Bob Hoffman?
