Big Win for Tribe Baseball Over NE

The 4-3 W&M win over Northeastern this afternoon at Plumeri was a key one...evening the first CAA series of the season
at 1-1 and offering the Tribe a chance to win the series tomorrow afternoon at 1 PM.

Pitcher Matt Davenport hurled his second consecutive complete game, fanning five and, for the second game in a row, walking nobody. The 6=8 righthander appears to be back to his 2010 form as one of the best pitchers in the CAA after a poor 2011 campaign.

Agonizing 4-3 loss this afternoon to NE...three unearned NE runs really hut.

We loaded bases in both seventh and eighth innings with just one out each time but could score just one run. Eighth inning ended with line drive right at NE second baseman.

Brett Koehler hasn't pitched since opening day due to broken finger joint on pitching hand. He can't pitch until 100% healed...
