Considering we're an 11 and they're a 6, and that they beat us 59-43 on our home floor in our only meeting with them this year, 5 pts isn't that bad (only one point per seed difference). We've actually received a lot of respect as far as spreads this year, given our record.
Lets gooooo!! Just win baby!
its because most of our losses have been close. Also its the first game of the tourney so fatigue isnt a factor. If this was the third game in three nights a different story.

That's my point. At least Vegas (for the little it's worth) is rewarding us for battling all year.
We may be just 3-15, 10-21, and an 11 seed, but for a team like that, we've often hung in there, and that's been reflected in the spreads this year. Although, given that this game is down south, where we will have so few fans, and that they beat us by 16 on our own floor, and we couldn't score against them, I'm very surprised it's not more in the 8-9 range instead of 5.
Today is March 2. The date in the topic title is wrong.
AccuScore says Georgia State will win by 8.3 and gives them a 75.0% chance of winning but AccuScore thinks Jordan Allen is going to contribute 6.6 points and 6.6 rebounds.
From GSUs standpoint the game in Richmond is up north. I bet the distance from Long Island to Richmond and Atlanta to Richmond is about the same.

Actually I looked it up and GA State is 2hours more away from Richmond than we are.

Sagarin rates GSU 7.6 pts better - so the lean is GSU
Just checked - Line up to 6 (as I've "pointed" out - line usually moves toward Sagarin (power) rating
