Also of note, Seminovs shooting % was in the low 30s at least from 3 I believe midway through the season when he was slumping with the wrist injury. So the 15th best 3 pt % in country might even be discounting how hot he has been the last couple months.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of the approach, but with the group we have now I'm not sure we can try to play a balanced game and win against anyone but UNCW.

VCU gets half of home-court advantage here with the games being played at the nearby Richmond Coliseum. That breaks what would be a virtual tie between the Rams and the streaking Dragons for top-odds honors here. By the way, the CAA has been all about defense this season - its games ranked first among conferences in steal percentage and second in block percentage.

Just looked up the stats. Andrey shot 33-59 (56%) from the 3pt line in February. The nation's leading 3pt % on the year? 49.8%.

I think you guys are overlooking the best player, who's also the heart and soul of the team and the unofficial leader. Gene "the dream" Swindle.

It's not called the GENE TEAM for nothing.

This. I don't want us to fall to in love with the 3 in the UNCW game. It takes a full game to get used to the Mausoleum and the accompanying wind patterns with the vast brown backdrop.

But for the Drexel game, start jacking 'em up. This worked well at least for the first half of our game with them last week.

IF we advance to Saturday, there are going to be a lot of eyes on that Drexel game. ESPN can't seem to stop talking about the bubble with VCU and Drexel.

We need to do anything that we can to get by UNCW and after that anything is gravy.

Not sure if everyone is aware, but Derrick Thomas from Drexel is suspended for at least the CAA tourney and they will have only 6-7 guys who actually play. He is/was their best defender.

If we beat UNCW and play Drexel tough, that would be a good showing for the team. I was hoping for a match-up with W&M, though, to appease Dukeman1 on that issue.
