Update on New Convo

I just checked out the state legislature site, the bill for the new convo is in the House of Delegates, scroll down to about page 8. Unfortunately, the state senate does not list the new convo it its docket. What happens is the house and senate each develop their own plans then they trade their reports and edit each other's then they have to come to agreement on everything. The good news is someone from JMU is in some House Rep's ear, bad news is we have not acheived that in the senate, the glimmer of hope is McDonnel's daughter went to JMU.

Attention 'zoners: Call or write you local state senator.

This will be decided during the final budget negotiations. JMU is solid in the House - not as much in the Senate. You'll get the most bang for the buck by directing your comments to the budget negotiators, once they reach that point, especially the Senators.

$88M seems steep? I thought we bantered around $65M or so on here. Better to ask for more!

Simple solution - take the $90M from Mary Washington to "Refinance Student Housing" and pay for the new convo; the extra $2M can go to W&M so they can do more than just do a "Supplement Dormitory".
