Update on New Convo

I just checked out the state legislature site, the bill for the new convo is in the House of Delegates, scroll down to about page 8. Unfortunately, the state senate does not list the new convo it its docket. What happens is the house and senate each develop their own plans then they trade their reports and edit each other's then they have to come to agreement on everything. The good news is someone from JMU is in some House Rep's ear, bad news is we have not acheived that in the senate, the glimmer of hope is McDonnel's daughter went to JMU.

There is no budget, folks. There is a House version, passed quite a while ago with Convo authorization, and a Senate version which, as far as I know, has no Convo authorization. Today the House will reject the Senate version and the budget negotiators from each house will start negotiating a compromise budget that both houses can support. I think there's a strong possibility that Convo authorization will be in the final version.

Hope you're right #4! Your scenario sounds completely logical to me...as do the comments that the Senate budget is absent the new Convo and is all about the plans to expand UREC. Hopefully everything (parking deck, UREC and Convo) all make the final budget as reconciled by the House and Senate.
