    Default Recruiting updates

Seems like football and basketball are in a race to get the recruits that will change the program. Well in football's case, they want to win another championship-a national championship and basketball just wants to win. It looks like Skerry is adding 2 transfers. Bilal Dixon from Providence is definitely looking like a one-year band aid at center next season. Could be another juco guard as well but haven't confirmed the name.

Very excited for Feb. 1 and for people to see the freshman class mixed with the transfers. Not sure how many transfers will be announced, depends on who will there in the spring. Some may be announced later. I'm still waiting to confirm one major DE/LB from Md and I think people know who that is. I think we're looking at 3 DBs, LB (Eaton), 2 DTs, possibly 1 DE/OLB, FB, RT, ATH.

As for freshmen, as of today, with verbals for Rob Chesson and Ma, I have 11 confirmed.

6-6/292 (Del, ODU, Penn St, Temple)

    (from Scout.com)

LB Lamonte Gaddis - Gaddis signed with Maryland out of high school, but ended up at Dean and has shown himself to be a top prospect to keep an eye on in the coming weeks and months. Is getting a lot of attention from MAC, Conference USA and FCS programs.

    Lamonte Gaddis Highlights (5-10, 215)

    Stats: 47 tackles, 6 tackles-for-loss, 2 sacks, 1 interception

    http://www.hudl.com/athlete/858754/

(Of course, they list him at 6-0, 225, Maryland had him at 5-9, 205, I get that he's bigger but I doubt he grew three inches)
