Well, 4 CAA teams had to go on the road today... 2 vs. seeded teams and 2 had to go more than half way across the country.

Speaking of which, I don't think a Montana fan should be knocking other schools about getting favorable/biased matchups in the playoffs.

Hats off to The Maine Black Bears on their victory today. I thought they had a real tough assignment going to Appy today, and they pulled it out. Great Win!

Good luck Maine! Didn't get to see any Maine games this year but Heinicke threw for 5 TDs and ran for one, total offense of 560 yards and we still lost. Maybe you guys will have a better chance of defending the Triple Option then we did.

I'll be rooting for you, but somehow I think we lost to the eventual FCS Champs in GSU.

Yeah, but your defense sucks and ours doesn't........

ODU's defense was suspect all season. They gave up beaucoup yards and TDs all season long with one of the worst defenses in the league. You were run over by GSU because that defense had another miserable day and you couldn't keep up.

Does Maine have a message board?

    Absolutely.
Our rushing defense stats looked better than we really were because of our fine defensive line. Straight up we did fine. Once a runner got outside of our defensive line we were in trouble.
W&M exploited this with a double TE pro set using play action and misdirection. GSU did the same with the TO.
Our pass defense has always been soft.
The only reason we didn't lose to W&M is because they didn't have a QB who could throw when necessary.

Having said that, and after watching yesterday's playoff games, I do believe we had one of the best (if not THE best) overall offenses in the FCS by the end of the season.

We lose 2 DL and an LB next year, so I am not yet confident that our D will be any better, if even as good. I think that we might be better off going to a 3-4 next season.
