Very nice story. Not the biggest Bobby V fan but he has a good heart.

Bobby V. is a great guy. He was the manager for the Triple A Norfolk Tides (Mets) in the early 90s when I was a season ticket holder. My seats were right at the Tide dugout and Bobby was a great chatterbox before the game. During the game he was all business, but after the game he found time to sign autographs and talk to people. He was active in the community and always visible in a good way.
He may not be the greatest win-loss manager in baseball, but he is a winner. The Red Sox made a great hire.
