Possibly it is because there are already five players who will be seniors the year after next; adding Gaillard to that class would result in six [6] Captains in the following year. Six Capains for a five man sport might be a little much. Just a thought.....

The players elect the captains, not the coaches...so if they want four that's fine.

By the way, the Tribe football team elected just two captains yesterday..both on defense.

Not a lot we can do about transfers. I think we're pretty much at the mercy of the player; no contact is allowed until the player contacts us.

I don't think that's true. For example, freshman Mike Gbinije is transferring from Duke. Article I read said Villanova & Georgetown were showing interest. I think once a player decides to leave a program, the recruitment process begins again.

I verified that Kyle is a redshirt junior next season. (mostly for my own peace of mind.)

Heard via twitter that coaches were in to see 2013 6'6 SF/combo Evan Bradds. He was a former Ohio U commit, that reopened with the coaching change. He was 2nd team all Ohio this past season and will be a hot commodity on the recruiting trail.

Yep, just like last year many of our targets started to get interest from VCU.
