    ESPN decribes Alston. I've never seen a Towson recruit highlighted on so many recruiting sites or ESPN, Scout and Rivals. ESPN calls him an immediate impact player in the CAA see link

    "The blue collar on Team Final’s jersey is especially fitting for Davis, a 6’4″ forward that epitomizes the term junkyard dog. He defends, he rebounds, he hustles up and down the floor, and he’s not afraid of throwing down a thunderous, lefty dunk over a defender.

    'I try to focus on rebounds,' Davis said. 'Rebounds, going to the basket, driving hard, dunking the ball. Just being real aggressive.'"

    As of this story, he had been offered by Temple, St. Joe's and UDel while also being courted by Rutgers and Seton Hall. Other than the Blue Hens, it looks like we are the under dogs in this race, again, but that hasn't stopped Skerry before.

    This make-up sounds right along the lines of the reputation Pitt had developed with a team of fighters. With "scorers" like the last few signees, having a bruiser makes a lot of sense. Sounds like a good get if Skerry can ink him.

    I see he's on mat's list up top but this is from the weekend:

    @TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
    Towson just offered Tanveer Bhullar, a 2013 7'2 center from CIA Bounce. They join Seton Hall, Rice & Detroit.

    ESPN Insider:
    Strengths:
    Bhullar has tremendous size that immediately changes the game. At seven-foot-three with a wide body, he is immovable in the paint and virtually unstoppable when able to establish position near the block. He is the more naturally skilled of the two brothers and comfortable facing the basket out to 15 feet where he has a good touch. He projects as a valuable high post-player because of his shooting touch and ability to see over the defense and pass. Defensively, he clogs the paint with an immovable force and changes the way opposing offenses attack the rim.

    Weaknesses:
    Mobility continues to be his biggest liability as he struggles to change ends and keep up with the play. He often leaves his team disadvantaged early in a defensive possession, can't defend laterally, and isn't able to rebound outside of his area. He also isn't yet comfortable with his back to the basket and needs to work to develop a signature go to move in the post.

    Bottom Line:
    Bhullar's size and relative skill set gives him a huge upside but he needs to continue to work on improving his conditioning while toning his body and learning to assert himself inside the paint.
    Notes

    Travel Team: Team Takeover Canada...

    And a few more:
    @TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
    NJ Playaz trio Joel Hernandez '13, Chris Jones '12 & Neville Fincher '12 hope to setup an unofficial visit to Towson next weekend.
