Default Damion Lee commits to Drexel

We all knee the 6-6 wing from Calvert Hall wasn't coming here after he de-committed to attend prep school but it feels like an extra slap in the face to find he lands up the road at a conference rival like Drexel. I have to believe he was always a mid major talent but didn't want to come to Towson after seeing how dysfunctional the program had become. Now we'll see him for 4 years, just wish it was for our side.

Yeah, saw this yesterday. I think he's a tad overrated, but he could have helped us. Drexel needs a shooter and Lee can do that. We need a wing that can play. Not sure about JUCO coming in from NY or if Oglesby is big enough or healthy enough.

Lee had 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in his first game with Drexel. Played 40 minutes.

Who cares? Different coaching staff. He made the right decision.

Can't blame a kid for wanting to go away to school, especially after the coach who recruited you gets sh!tcanned.

I can't speak for the poster, but I can understand being frustrated that we lost out on a talented player, a local standout at that.

I don't blame the kid at all, nor do I blame Skerry or anyone at Towson. But it will always be worth at least a twitch when you see him put up big numbers, and worse if he drops some big games on us.

He's not a Towson fan. Just rubbing it in.

Drexel lost to Norfolk State today in the Paradise Jam and Damian Lee led them in scoring with 21. Drexel was projected to win the CAA this year.. this is a topic for a different thread but it looks like the CAA isn't as good top to bottom as it was last year. Georgia State and William & Mary are both 0-3. I say Towson has a good chance of winning a conference game this year!
