Just face it, you have a Division 3 football stadium and VCU is taking over your city.
Come back to me when you can win a conference game.
Also, there have been multiple claims that the CUSA, MAC, and WAC have all contacted JMU. JMU has not continued contact. We're getting interest from conferences. How many calls has UR received?

I agree it doesn't move the barometer for JMU fans. But I could see how these moves are being made to prepare for a possible future without JMU and/or Delaware in order to keep the conference viable and start grooming some potential replacement schools. That said, it doesn't help JMU.
Now that I think about it, it might be a good thing if the CAA brings in Albany because it would show that JMU has no interest in remaining in the conference.
VCU take over the city? What a laugh! They don't even field a football team! They are no threat! As for their basketball facility, it is no where as good as the Robins Center! As for your question about UR getting invites from FBS....We are not interested. We are Staying in FCS where REAL CHAMPIONSHIPS are won!
Yep. As far as the northern CAA teams go, Albany would also be (when their new stadium is done) an upgrade over Northeastern & Parson's Field, which was the worst in the CAA.
Edit: I replied before I saw the links for their future upgrades. Wow. Albany is a replacement for CAA north teams like Hofstra and NU that have dropped football and URI that is leaving. They will have by far the best stadium of all the northern schools.
