Has VCU/the city of Rishmond ever hosted an NCAA? Seems to me the Diamond would be a well recieved field for games. That is unless the NCAA requires multiple fields for play or access to the Diamond would be hampered by the R-Braves schedule. Plus Richmond would be good for access from NJ down to Georgia.

It's nice VCU can play within viewing distance for VCU fans and glad the NCAA saw fit to put VCU as one of the top seeds (#2) rather than putting us lower because of our conference rating.

The Diamond is booked that weekend. The Spider fans were looking into it, thinking (early in the season) that they could be a #1 seed and we could be in the same region.

According to AOL.com, from Main St, Richmond to Main St, Wilson is 2 hrs and 40 minutes. I'm not even sure it would take that long since it's all Interstate.

Another plus is that it's not NC State's actual field because their field is being renovated. Raleigh is only a skip and a jump away though. I'm not sure what kind of field is in Wilson.
