Nice work. Yes, we can all say oh it doesn't matter and no one loses sleep...and quite frankly I don't care if the women's tennis sucks.
But somewhere from an organizational perspective you have...
Hmm....looks like Ryan Firebaugh from "another Virginia school" is getting a little interview time.....
Since I am at work can't copy and post the wonderful graphic my VCU compatriot sent me....we finished 13 of 14 in OVERALL ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT WINNING PERCENTAGE in the state of Virginia for...
My take....and regardless of any personal issue....the departure of Vaughns and Bennett made it far more probable that he will be able to get on the floor more the next two years than if he had...
You would think in this era of compliance enforcement, that players would be chipped and tagged so they can be monitored by the school....and as an added benefit....we the fans as well....for $99.95...
Me, Gray and Tom Pecora included.....
BINGO.
No different than MANY, MANY other games in the season where we didn't do what we needed to do for a full 40 minutes......
I am in this camp. Sure we have guys that can play in the A-10.
But that doesn't matter if they can't play as a team and not have the issues mentioned above.
Hell Hewitt had guys who could...
I love the fact that while looking through the "choose your team colors" paint catalog at Home Depot today, Mason was 1 of 3 teams from the CAA available (JMU and UD) and there was no A-10 reps........
I love the fact that that by leaving the CAA we are getting away the confusion with a rival school with a similar sounding name people will confuse.
Oh wait......
The SC should be embarrassed, but of course they are not......
Why not do a silhouette of the infamous "coach on a ladder holding a net" image from the FF run?
Seems perfect.
Someone get Kevin Keatts on the phone.
Only a few more weeks of spring turkey season....
As a southerner who is transplanted to Maine and floats around "academia" at the small NE schools thanks to his FIL being a part of that social setting...
Schools in the northeast, esp the small...
But I think that's because of the confusion with Northwestern.
In sports journalism, they are referred to as NW, even though they technically they like NU.
So to many, calling Northeastern NE...
If the sport of wrestling "is on the ropes" because the USOC is not on the IOC, then that tells you even more about the global interest. Except that the sport internationally is run by the Euros...
Correct.
So then the question is, why is the IOC recommending dropping a sport that has been part of the games for over 100 years...?
It means the interest is waning.....
Having no allegiance to either sport, if I were the AD, I would drop wrestling and go full bore into lacrosse. Perfect area to build a program.
Heck if the IOC is dropping a "heritage" sport like...
WWF or bust.....
Ask Vaughn Gray.........
Sorry. I know Maine state law where it isn't a crime. Yea I get it...as posted later...the point was he wasn't charged nor tried.....after someone said he was a "convicted adulterer."
But while...
Adultery is not a crime...
Well I guess that just excluded 98% of us......
