I can't believe the administration just sat on their asses while ODU and other schools have been positioning themselves to make a move. The fact that Bourne declined to have any further conversations with CUSA after the NCAA's just really pisses me off.

It could be a very long time before another opportunity like this comes up and I can't help but feel that this was an incredibly huge error by the people in charge at JMU.

Oh well, I guess I have awesome CAA games against schools like Stony Brook in a half full and half completed Bridgeforth. I sure am glad that they built that stadium so my seats could get worse while the product on the field declines considerably.

If it were me, I would formulate a few different plans:

-Work to make the CAA a football conference only, basically you need 8 schools for a full conf schedule. Then find a home for all other sports, possibly The Patriot?

-Look to leave, and the conference I would look to would be the Southern Conference. Great FCS football, and competitive hoops. Some comparable academic schools, such as Furman and Davidson, and from a fan standpoint, playing the likes of Appy St, Ga Southern, Wofford, Furman, etc...is at worst a parallel move football wise

Then there is the most radical Plan..and possibly my favorite...

WM spearheads a move to establish a new conference! Imagine if you will a new conference with all members within driving distance of Williamsburg (that was the athletic budget letting out a big sigh of relief), extend offers to:

Norfolk St
Hampton
Liberty
JMU
Towson
Richmond (football only?)
GMU (all but football, unless they want a football team)
VMI

Adda few others...(need help here)...suddenly WM is driving the train for once...
