I am sick and tired of a lot of the VCU posters. Even some that have been here for a while.

All of you speak to everyone like you guys are the Gonzaga of our league. NEWS FLASH: YOU'RE NOT.

VCU has had a good few years, congratulations. You had one of the best CAA players ever. You better dominate when you get a guy like that.

But seriously, could you be any more arrogant in a lot of your posts? NO ONE is in love with your program that does not root for them. You act like we are all infatuated with VCU, we are not and I can guarantee that.

You guys have ONE, count it, ONE NCAA tournament win during this recent up swing. George Mason made it to the freaking Final 4, and you guys talk to them like it was 55 years ago and your one win clearly meant more.

You have been good, yes, but you in NO WAY dominate the CAA. Not by any stretch of the imagination. This league is a league of up swings and down swings, VCU/ODU usually do not swing sooo far down, but they do swing down.

VCU WILL have a down swing. Like UNC-W this season? No. But you will not continue to win every regular season and every tournament like you have the past few (Only 2 tournament but you get it). You won't. I know it and so do most people that post on these boards.

When you win like this it is fine to gloat and throw it in your rivals face, that is sports, but to talk down to them like you have dominated the CAA for years upon years? Grow up.

This thread is not for ALL VCU posters. The ones who do not do this know it, and don't need to pay attention to this. But the ones that do do this also know who they are. Seriously, grow up.

You need to relax - I believe you told me that the second you stop taking everyone here so serious, the site becomes a lot more enjoyable, give that a shot. Also, you don't think that every school here doesn't have people who like to act how you described? ODU's got 'em, GMU, everyone. When ODU wins the CAA, you guys will surely be talking trash and boasting, and you should - it comes with the territory. So until that time, you can't pretend like it's just VCU fans. Are the ODU and JMU fans really proud of being in the CIT? I would be embarrassed frankly to play that tournament. It is seriously akin to 6-6 college football teams going to a bowl game. The teams are weak, the games aren't televised (maybe one game is?) and it's the freak'n 4th tournament in the pecking order. Good way to pad the totals against cupcakes though.

If you were ODU and JMU, and you were invited, you'd take it too.

THe NCAA's are the big prize, and congrats for earning your way there. However, the experience has been good for both teams.

As far as embarrassed to be playing, go screw yourself. We have no illusions about the quality of the tourney, but to say we are playing cupcakes is dead wrong. And now we get a quality MVC foe for the title - I'm satisfied with that

Let's see next year when VCU has such a decision to make, and I'll bet the mortage you would choose similarly to ODU and JMU. Dont let your recent success create an ego that writes checkes that your team cannot cash in coming years....oh yeah, that was the purpose of this thread in the first place.

You post on your boards about how you have this amazing program and how you will be number one for years and years to come with your star PG coming in and your dependent on Maynor shot blocker. Your big star play Eblen is one point better then ODU's SG Josh Hicks in your precious ranking systems.

If you guys win next year without a supernova coach and a top three CAA player of all time then talk, but you won't. And when you realize you will have a down swing again you will all look like a bunch of morons for talking about this fabulous "program" you guys have built up.

You will have a tough year next year. Don't act like you have dominated for years. You haven't and you won't.

The thing is there's not one dominant program in the conference year in/year out like Memphis. It's not like VCU is winning 5 CAA titles in a row. VCU, ODU, UNC-W, and Mason fans can brag and gloat because they've had the most success over the last 15 years really (with the exception of 1998 when Richmond won the CAA Tourney). As far as comparing who's had more success, that's an apples to oranges comparison. I can understand people getting tired of hearing about the Final Four run from '06. I mean that's in my rear view mirror. It's always something to be proud of. But I don't really want to be rubbing that into people's faces all the time. But I do wish that other school's fans would give us a little more credit than just saying that you had one lucky season. It's not like we had 20 straight losing seasons, and then boom we were in the Final Four. It does bother me a little bit when people insinuate that Mason isn't as successful of a program as a VCU, ODU and UNC-W are.

Exactly. You don't dominate anyone. No one does. We are not C-USA. Never will be, and that is why our conference is great and far superior to C-USA and the WCC/WAC

It's the same with ODU, you haven't been here for a while but back in '05 when you guys were more successful, you guys had a ton of ******bags running their mouths too. It comes with any successful team.

VCU fans will run their mouths until they have no reason to. 52-10 against CAA opponents, 3 straight regular season titles with 2 trips to the NCAA and first round upset of Duke in 3 seasons is going to bring a lot of bandwagon fans. Don't try to take them too seriously. I understand where you're coming from man, I really do. So you should understand when I say lighten up a bit.
