Do you think they will red shirt Konate?

With all the depth on the team I wonder if they will want to red shirt someone like Konate. It might be good to give him more time to play with the team and work out in the gym rather than sitting on the bench and using a year of eligibility.

I believe that Coach L has only redshirted 2 players here:

Jon L redshirted during his non-scholarship freshman academic year (1998-99); and

Lamar Butler redshirted this season due to an injury (& academic problems).

I don't think the kid would have come from a high profile high school program only to redshirt and be a spectator for a year....which he may be anyway if he doesn't pan out. I would say no...he will not redshirt.

He better redshirt! He's not ready yet. Not even close. No idea how to play the game, at this point in his career.

Wonderful kid, but he's not aggressive enough to play at this level. He's best served to redshirt for a year. He saw limited minutes this past year at Worcester Academy (MA).

I dont think he will redshirt either- Hoopknowledge- have you seen Konate play?

Yes...several times. Well...other times were he could have played, but didn't get off the bench.

Very skilled, but not aggressive enough to compete immediately at this level.
