Congratulations to the ladies on their 6th consecutive conference championship and to Amanda Hallaway on being named MVP, and tying the school record with her 23rd career homer.
I think the record for HR's in a season for the baseball team is 20...pretty impressive...you would think it would be a lot easier to tally HR's in baseball than SB.

Damon those 23 HRs are for a career. The team I think hit about 45 HRs this year in 52 games. Danielle Stewart had 17 HRS this year alone. This is a very special team and deserve to get into the NCAAs. We are unfortunately in the Northeast and are rated#2 in the region. We are about a top 40 softball team in the country. If the committee selects by region we are in. If they just look nationally we could be left out. Any way you put it, we are a bubble team.

great job lady dutch!!!!!
i'll be pullin for that at-large - would love to see how we play in the ncaa's
Stuball,
Are we in or are we out? You seem to have the best knowledge of our teams. What is your guess?
Better question...when is the selection for the at large bids?

BTW- Damon you should talk to coach Edwards about an asst position on the softball team. I expect him to be losing a few assts at the end of the year.
Interesting proposition....softball is almost a completely different sport than baseball however. Strategy is different, I could go on and on....
Never even crossed my mind, but thanks for putting my name in....the only thing I guess would translate is fielding, throwing, footwork etc...
