Dear Hofstra Football Alumni & Friends,
We are just two days away from completing spring practice! The players have been working hard in the weight room, in the classroom, and on the field. Our Spring Game this year will be played Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 1 p.m. at James M. Shuart Stadium. As always, all are invited.
The 2003 season will bring us the toughest schedule in Hofstra history, starting with Top 25 Division I-A Marshall University on August 30, 2003. The Pride will play a 12-game schedule evenly split with six home and six road contests.
New Nike uniforms have been purchased for the 2003 season. We are giving our alumni and friends the opportunity to purchase the old game jerseys. These jerseys are being sold on a first come, first serve basis at the cost of $50 each. Most numbers are available in both the home blue and away white. These are the real jerseys worn by the players, and most are in very good condition.
If you want to purchase a jersey, please call our office at 516-463-5315 to reserve it, and send in a check payable to Hofstra University. The proceeds will be deposited in our equipment budget to offset the cost of the new Nike uniforms.
The jerseys will be mailed to you in early July, just after we receive our new Nike jerseys. Thank you for your continued support of Hofstra Football.
